We are thrilled to bring back the Valley Center for the Blind Glow Golf Tournament for a third exciting year of growth and community building at Fort Washington Golf and Country Club! By participating in Glow Golf, you are putting your skills to the test in a way that many VCB clients live their lives. Blindness often doesn't mean total darkness, and for many of the hundreds of people VCB provides training to each year, completing everyday tasks is not impossible — but it does require doing things a little differently. We are counting on you to help make this Glow Golf Tournament a success, so we can provide even more support, training, and employment to people who are blind in the Central Valley.
Check-in starts at 5 PM. Attendees will grab their gifts and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win an exciting prize like a weekend getaway, gift cards, and more! Golfers and dinner guests (additional dinner guests can join us for $50 each) will enjoy a delicious dinner at 6 PM, where you will meet someone who you are helping through your participation. Once the sun goes down, golfers will head to the course with special glowing golf balls that are supercharged by the flashlights provided. The golf balls will light up for you to find them in the dark. Golfers will play nine holes before heading in for more fun and prizes.
Because VCB receives zero dollars in base grant funding, we need YOUR help to meet the incredible demand for our services to help people who are blind live independent, safe, and fulfilling lives. For the 1,500 people VCB served last year, your contribution made the difference in their ability to get to doctor's appointments, cook a meal, reply to a text message, and even keep their job.
