Valley Center for the Blind is excited to bring this unique and unforgettable event to Kern County for a third time. Hosted at Luigi's Warehouse, this event will feature a blind wine-tasting, a four-course meal, excellent entertainment, and so much more. Guests will enjoy four courses (two under blindfold) as they experience a meal using non-sighted techniques. Alongside friends, family, and colleagues, you will share a remarkable journey relying on only taste, touch, smell, and sound and learn about what it means to be blind in Kern County.
Proceeds from Dining in the Dark allow VCB to expand our essential services to children in our local blind and low vision community in our new training facility. Thanks to your participation, an estimated 17,000 children who are blind or or have low vision in Kern County will have access to a wider range of support and independence services right here in Bakersfield.
